Julian,
would really like some help here. I have got a set of the Jing Tong 208 (got a pdf manual from the web) but still cannot get to program the radio because i know nothing about radios. Can you help? i was assigned a frequency # 163.7375. Problem is i am getting 6 digits on the radio but have a frequency with 7 digits.

thanks

Dear Julian,

Great website and I really enjoyed reading your review of the Yaesu 817ND. I am looking at buying one this week and it looks a nice radio for the size. Your review was really interesting.
Well done with the website, I have ordered the Elecraft T1 to build for my 2E so will put a little review and building steps on my site once done. Nothing as great as your review thou!

73 De Dave,
P.S. Keep up the good work

Dear Julian,
Thanks for the nice propag. program who is an helpful add-up for all other program used under my professsional activities(9Q & TN)and Ham.
I wanted to remain that 9Q land is not Zaire anymore since ten years now. Zaire ended late 1997 and Democratic Republic of Congo borns in 1998.
It is quite unfair for DRC authorities to use Zaire, as Zaire refers to former dictator Mobutu. Many thanks if you can change Zaire to Dem. Rep. of Congo in your program.
For info, after 5 years in DRC I've been assigned to A6 and will move soon. Hope to contact you before my departure. Bst 73's Philippe

Julian,
Thanks for the tour. Eham.net has a link to you URL off their URL. I saw the rating (4.4, very good) and decided to read on.
I like your review of the MFJ Cub. I'm not much of a builder, but I've been looking at the 20 and 15M versions for breaks and vacations.
Question: have you given thought to converting a 15M Cub to 10M? There is a lack of QRP gear for 10 (unless one gets a K2), and the Cycle is rising.

Re: VOA Prop
The average propagation program simply obfuscates by elaborating on the convoluted details.
The brilliant propagation program provides only essential detail distilled and simplified for comprehension and actionability.
Thank you, Julian, for VOA Prop. It's brilliant!
Now wouldn't it be wonderful if you turned your keen, deconvoluting analytical gift to antenna performance analysis & design software? If ever there was a need for a more intuitive graphic user interface, that would surely be a contender.

Hi Julian
A note to say thanks for MorseGen - I'd returned to find the correct page to recommend it to a friend and have discovered MorseTest as well. I'm using these for a little light relief from the horrors of a PhD. When I escape out the end, I'll try Lazarus - have used Delphi lots (and still am).
Cheers and thanks
Giovanni

Read your article info on FT817. I am thinking of getting one. But not sure if I can use it as a base rig. Prefer qrp working with dxcc 200 on 5w. The Dealers don`t help with queries. Does the Miracle whip work indoors. 73 "Dale" GM4ELV in a very wet/ windy Glasgow.

Hello Julian - just wanted to say hello from Boston, USA vicinity (Ashland, MA) and let you know I enjoyed your site. It came up in my search for Morse code software. I'm en-route to becoming a ham and want to learn the code. I'll probably end-up with an Elecraft also (K2). Homebrewing, low-profile QRP, morse and PSK31 sound like a lot of fun. Now I just need to figure out how to fit it in to my busy (work/family) sched. All the best, and keep writing great software! -Scott
