I've read your covert operations comments with interest. I agree with you on the eyesore. I do wish that I had the means to live where I could erect better aerials without distressing the neighbours. However I do not so I too use an attic antenna.

I've found that my linear loaded dipole 12m long and fed with ladderline and a tuner works better than it should, even on 80m. I do use 100w though. And I make contacts with no problem. DX on 40 and 20 cw is an every day occurance.

And on the subject of power, I have no RFI of any kind except to the speakers on the desk with the radio.

Hi there. Could give me any more info on the jingtong 2M radio, ie if it is any good even though it has only 2.5 W, what is the best antenna for it to get the best out of it and if you can get a speeker mic for it.
