Great site. It was good to read about the 817 and various 'portable' antenna. I have an 817 and a miracle whip and it confirms my feeling that I should stop looking around for other antennas and get on and use it.

The covert loft antenna is also of interest (to stop the planning officer keep coming round), particularly as I was going down the MFJ magnetic loop route.

Good, sound practical advice that I don't get from club members running 400w on a tower setup.

Totally agree with you about the QRP stations! I have spoken to many countries outside of Europe (im in the UK) on just 10W and it gives me a buzz every time!

Great site & i love the HFProp software... thank you!

I downloaded MorseGen today and I think it's a fantastic, well thought-out program.

It runs perfectly under XP Home in my desktop, however when I try to run it on my laptop under Windows 2000 I get a warning: "Error opening waveform audio! Device already allocated." The sound on my laptop runs fine with other programs, including a Morse trainer "Koch method CW trainer G4FON"

If you by chance have a patch to fix this problem, I'd appreciate it if you could send it to me.

Just downloaded your HFprop program. I Like it very well and it plays well also. Enjoy the beacons and MUF calculations. Thanks again. PS Also enjoy QRP with A K2. Try the KX1 also. It's great when traveling. Cheers and Beers!!

Hi Julian, Nice website you've got here!!. Congratulations!!. A pity you as others, maybe I'll have to do the same in a near future, have got to move from qsl.net to a faster webserver. Al doesn't deserve the forgetfullness he is being treated with by a large part of our ham community, but there's nothing we can do to help him beyond our own donations and support. Keep up the good work!!. Good luck!!.

Nice to see that you have moved your nice site to a faster server (I did have to do the same with my site because the extremly slow qsl.net server).
