Thank you for the write up about the MFJ 1026. It saved me from a lot of hassle...The MFJ works exactly as at your place taking out the line noise. What a relief...:-)

It is with sadness to read on the G4ILO blog site that Julian became a "Silent Key" on 24th October 2014. I have just become interested in APRS usage in Amateur Radio and came across the G4ILO websites. The call sign was so familiar to me and the penny dropped when reading one of Julians blogs which mentioned his software package "VOAProp", a software package that I still use. Rest in peace Julian and thanks for your contribution to Amateur Radio. 73, OM ZS6DEZ

Quite saddened to hear of Julian's Passing.

Julian's dedication and love for the hobby was extraordinary, and it continues today, through his webpages.
I, and I am sure many others, appreciate his work and many contributions to the hobby.

Best Regards to the family.

Hi Julian, getting ready to try your USBLink interface. In your version of the circuit, the capacitor coming off the first transistor is 1mf, but Skip Teller's cap is 10mf (at that location). I want to build your version, is the 1mf the correct value? Thanks! Neil
